James Grace is currently recruiting for an experienced Lab technician to join a drink manufacturer in Bridgwater.
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Laboratory Technician to join a dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting scientific research and ensuring compliance with FDA regulations. This position requires proficiency in laboratory practices, quality control, and the ability to analyse data effectively. The Lab Technician will work closely with scientists and researchers to maintain laboratory operations and contribute to innovative projects.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine laboratory tests and experiments following established protocols.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functionality and cleanliness.
- Observe the requirements as laid down in the Food Safety Act 1990 and Food Hygiene Regulations amended 2005.
- Perform quality control checks on samples and equipment to ensure accuracy of results.
- Document findings meticulously and prepare reports for review by senior staff.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and FDA regulations while working in the laboratory environment.
- Collaborate with team members on various scientific research projects.
Experience
- Experience and understanding of GMP.
- Knowledge and experience of organoleptic techniques.
- Sound understanding of HACCP and Food Safety principles, ideally to at least intermediate level
Shift:
Shift pattern Monday to Thursday 8am-3.30pm and Fridays early finish at 3pm.
The successful candidate may be offered a longer term position this would mean that the shift patter will change to 4 on 4off.
Overtime rates: £20,88 per hour
