James Grace Local is currently recruiting for experienced warehouse staff who will be responsible for processing orders.
Previous computer and scanner experience is required.
There are also full time roles available Monday - Friday - please speak with our consultant Nat.
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring that all tasks related to stock management, materials handling, and shipping and receiving are executed with precision. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as part of the job.
Responsibilities
- Stock and build inventory in designated areas of the warehouse.
- Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and movements.
- Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring safe handling of materials.
- Perform picking and packing duties for outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in order fulfilment.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, including verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
- Utilise forklifts for moving heavy items within the warehouse as required.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes is beneficial.
- Proficiency in materials handling techniques to ensure safe movement of goods.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
Sunday shift - 12 hours shift 6am-6pm
Pay rate £11.44 per hour
